Every story needs a universe in which to exist. The greatest stories create their own universes–universes that inspire more stories. The realms of science fiction and fantasy know this perhaps better than anyone. The fans of science fiction and fantasy will strongly voice their opinions on the subject.
The Trilobyte Project is an experiment in the creation of universes–universes built by and for the fans. Every aspect of the creation of the world–and the stories that emerge from them–is open to contributions from fans, guests, and random passers-by. More than that, the worlds that are created are open for anyone to use in the creation of their own stories, designs, and creative endeavors.

Right now, we’re building the worlds. Once they’re built, and the stories start to take shape, we’ll be producing those stories for everyone to enjoy. It’s our goal to take these stories into web-released shows, movies, books, RPGs, MMOs, and any media that serves our purposes.
